Peacefully purring at last

QUICKSAND

Frequently I grieve the loss 

Of the life I could have had,

Love, children, and happiness

Generational inadequacy

The gift of low expectations

Don’t hope for much or dream too big

Accept less than you deserve

Blood is thicker than water

So is quicksand
